This is the easiest Halloween snack mix. If you love adding candy to your popcorn (salty/sweet heaven) this is for you! Also, it’s a great project to make with kids because all you need is your microwave. I used seasonal M&M’s and Candy Corn, but feel free to use your favorite candy!
Here is the cast of characters…
Combine the popcorn, pretzels, M&M’s, and Candy Corn in a large bowl. I actually use a large soup pot.
Microwave the candy melts on at 50% power for one minute.
Stir and continue microwaving for 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth.
Drizzle the candy mixture over the popcorn mixture and stir to combine. It takes a minute, but stay with it while the Candy Melt is still warm.
Lay a long sheet of parchment paper on your counter, and spread the popcorn mixture into an even layer. While it is still warm, top with sprinkles. Let cool.
I made this batch as Halloween treats for one of my run groups:)
Ingredients:
2 bags of popcorn; popped (plain)
1 bag white Candy Melts (12 oz)
1 bag Fall M&M’s (mine was 12 oz)
1 bag Candy Corn (mine was 22 oz)
Pretzels
Fall or Halloween Sprinkles
Instructions:
Comine popcorn, pretzels, and candy in a large bowl. (I used a large soup pot.)
Heat the canding coating in a separate bowl in the microwave on 50% or defrost setting for 1 minute. Stir and continue in 30 second intervals stirring each time until melted and smooth.
Drizzle the candy coating over the popcorn mixture and stir to coat. Mix very well.
Spread out on a large piece of wax paper. Top with sprinkles while it’s still warm. Let cool. Break into pieces and serve.
