What’s your favorite peanut butter candy?  Mine is a Reeses Cup

What flavor jelly do you prefer on a PB&J?  I know it’s weird but I love apple butter.

Crunchy or Smooth?  Smooth

What’s your favorite brand of peanut butter?

  1. Reeses is my favorite peanut butter candy. Yum. I go thru phases where I will only eat creamy/crunchy. I can’t say I love one better than the other. I like strawberry preserves on mine, but apple butter is really good too! Skippy Natural has the best flavor, imo.

  2. Love this post! I miss PB (no legumes on paleo). My DH is a huge PB fan (and a PB/strawberry guy, how he grew up). I’m a grape jelly/jam sandwich person – how I grew up – but raspberry can be good. Never tried apple butter.

    Candy – Reese’s FTW!
Brand of PB – Growing up, Jif smooth. My grandparents had Skippy (eh). Now, if I did eat it, it would be a natural variety. TJ’s had a great one with flax but last time I tried it on (on my nonpaleo indulgence) they’d added chia and it wasn’t as good.

OTOH, I recommend – you’ll love me or hate me – the Reese’s spreadables which might actually be sold in the PB aisle in some places. It’s Reese’s in spread form in a jar. Since I had it and an actual Reese’s cup (milk, haven’t tried dark) in the same week, I discovered the spread is actually BETTER if such a thing is possible! Has little peanut pieces in it and can be put on pretzels (or eaten straight out of the too-small jar). Didn’t get to trying it on toast but I bet it would be amazing….it’s very very dangerous to have around though.

  3. I used to eat a lot of PB&J, but now I’m all about PB and bananas…I eat it in oatmeal, on toast, and on pancakes. I love all kinds of peanut butter….I buy smooth the most and reserve crunchy for when I really feel like a change. My friend asked me to pick my all-time favorite type yesterday and I still haven’t been able to pick!

  5. I cannot believe I somehow missed National Peanut Butter Day! I think this means I get extra today 😉

My favorite peanut butter candy is also Reeces Peanut Butter Cups and I like crunchy peanut butter best. My absolute favorite peanut butter is from a company in Oregon – Bliss Nut Butters. So good!

  6. Can I tell you the saddest thing ever? My girls who are in kindergarten, can’t take PB to school. Apparently some poor kids in their classes have severe peanut allergies. I made it through 13 years of school eating PB every single day! I too love Reese’s PB cups, and I’m totally in love with the new Reese’s spread!
