Michigan Workout and the Monkey

Let’s catch up!

Monday: National Pizza Day!

Mean Muggin’ on a Monday.

Jason decided to share my milk collection on his facebook page.  Apparently four different types of milk (and a fridge full of lettuce) isn’t “normal.”

He surprised me with the most beautiful flowers from Garden Delights.  Their arrangements are always awesome!

This group makes it fun to run in circles!!!  “Grin and Bear It”

It was also haircut day!!!!  (So past due.)

and the finished product.

I was craving eggs and Jason makes the best omelettes, so we had kitchen sink salad and mushroom and gouda omelettes.

After breakfast at the Perch, I headed to Percy Warner Park to do the 11.2 Monkey Run with these awesome friends.

It’s hilly.

And, I am loving Spring Oiselle Punch color!

I have a new favorite oatmeal recipe (that says a lot from me)!  It’s an Apple and Almond Butter Baked Oatmeal.  I’ll type up the recipe asap to share.

Do you keep fresh flowers in your house or do you think it’s a waste of money? I love fresh flowers.

Favorite pizza toppings? Favorite pizza chain? Fave topping: mushrooms Fave chain: Jet’s

What’s your favorite type of milk? Almond Milk

And for no reason other than it cracked me up…

      • Hi Jen,
I love you blog too!!! I live in Texas and my now in-laws live in Nashville. But I had to comment….I found my engagement ring at Genesis Diamond about 4 years ago when I was there for Thanksgiving and it is a Christopher Design sapphire and diamond ring! I absolutely love all of his rings and yours is beautiful 🙂

  2. I love the color of your shirt! I love pizza, I could eat it everyday! My favorite chain is Mellow Mushroom – the red skin potato or BBQ chicken are my favs from it 🙂 And I love fresh flowers! That speed workout looks like a beast, I wouldn’t be able to keep track of what I needed to run either.

  3. Ummmm “grin and bear it” … bahaha!!! Ohhhhh I didn’t get the memo on pizza day lol 🙂 annnnd you totally get a fist bump from me on the milk stockpile Jen! We also have 4 kinds in our house … 2%, almond, rice, and soy. My stomach can’t handle regular milk and if I have any I pay for it so vanilla almond is my milk of choice 🙂 annnnnd finally … nice workout there missy!!! #crushinit I’ll have to try the Michigan sometime 🙂

  4. This is straight from the heart, girl – your blog makes this injured runner so happy. I read every post! It just helps me stay positive even though I haven’t run in 60 days. Getting the compartment pressure test on my leg next week and hoping to gear up for surgery stat! Keep up the awesome blogging and send good thoughts my way. Thanks for inspiring me!

    • I had to take a little time off in January. I can’t imagine how tough 60 days has been. I’m sending lots of prayers and good mojo your way!!!! Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement:).

  5. Love the hair! Though (as a curly girl myself) I think the curls are beautiful too! You’ve reminded me that it’s time for highlights next time I go in – makes me think of how spring will be here soon!! How’d the Achilles feel after that workout?
