The Friday Five

1.  Watch.  The ice storm finally allowed us to finish the Sonic Highways series from HBO.  The Foo Fighters travel to eight legendary studios in eight different cities across the United States of America to write and record their album.  The cities are Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and New York.  Each episode features interviews with artists who recorded at the respective studios.

2.  Nosh.  Umpqua Oats.  My new favorite instant oatmeal when I’m in a hurry.  It’s the first time I’ve liked instant oats.

3.  Pray.  Pope Francis’ Guide to Lent: What You Should Give Up This Year (Time)

4.  Nosh.  Carrot Cake Almond Coconut Butter from You Fresh Naturals.  No words needed.

5.  Laugh.

Happy Friday and Choose Joy!

  1. Ohh, we will have to check out Sonic Highways! My husband went to their “secret show” here in Seattle and saw clips of it, but not the whole thing.

Also, that carrot cake almond butter!! Where did you get it?

  2. The “Sonic Highways” series is just wonderful, isn’t it? Love those stories and what a unique concept; the album is great, too. Um, I think this carrot cake-flavored almond butter is probably the most exciting thing I’ve seen in awhile; even more exciting than the Red Velvet Oreos. Is it absolutely amazing? You don’t even have to answer that…I’m about to order some right now – ha! 😉 I hope y’all can thaw out a little tomorrow, even though I know it’s still going to be really rainy. It’ll be rainy here, as well, but definitely warmer for awhile. Take care!
