Wednesday:
I started the day with a crepe date at the Perch.
And met my friends at Percy Warner Park to run. Unfortunately the park was still too icy, but we still managed run an 8 miler.
I stopped by Fleet Feet after our run to pickup my new Adidias Ultra Boosts! I was itching to try out my new shoes, so instead of driving home I stopped for a 3 mile run.
For dinner, I made Glazed Cauliflower Wings…yum!
Thursday:
Fleet Feet and Adidas were kind enough to host an Adidas Boost Ultra Boost Demo Run (say that 10 times fast!) for the Brentwood Breakfast Club.
Runch Bonus Miles!
For dinner, we had Saladworks. Stay tuned for a gift card GIVEAWAY!!!
FriYAY!
The new season of House of Cards dropped on Netflix…bring on the binge watching!!!
It’s also National Chili Day! Click the link for my favorite Vegetarian Quinoa Chili recipe.
Long run prep… (I swear there’s pasta in there somewhere!)
Caramel Macchiato Gu, Hot Hands, Brooks Safety Vest, Nathan Ranger Convertible Mitts, Picky Bar, Garmin 620, Nespresso Vertuoline.
And, I posted earlier this week about the stack of boxes left on my front porch by UPS after the ice storm. A bunch of folks asked what I had ordered from Sephora. I’ve been wearing my hair naturally curly lately and need some products to tame the mane!
Here’s the skinny (from L to R): Bb Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Conditioner, Bb Hairdresser’s Invisidble Oil, Sultra Bombshell 1-inch Curling Rod, Anastasia Brow Pen, Redken Quick Tease, Clinique All About Eyes, Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, and Living proof Flex Shaping Hairspray (smells so good!).
That’s it for now. I hope you have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!
What is your weekend running plan? How many miles? Racing?
Are you watching House of Cards?
Have you tried the new Adidas Ultra Boosts yet?

Hey Jen, Quick question for you…on your long runs do you drink with your Gu? I have yet to find a hand held bottle that didn’t leak that I like. Thanks!
Best Wishes, Colby

I usually carry the large amphipod handheld and I drink Cocogo. Right now, I’m pacing a group for Fleet Feet and they setup water stops so I don’t need to carry my own.

House of Cards just might be one of the best shows ever!! Anxious to start this weekend. Trying to have will power and wait on a traveling husband.
I tested the Boost. They are super comfortable. Made the mistake and when too far for a first wear 14 miles. They were light and cushiony but I’m pretty I would only be able to use them for shorter temp run no more then 8 miles. My IT band act up with 14 miles. I normally wear Brooks Ravenna.

I’m with you. I love the cush, but I can wear them for long runs. I’m wearing mine for short recovery runs.

I love the Bb hairdressers Invisible Oil line! The shampoo is what I’m using now. My favorite curly-hair product is my A.G. Recoil though – love that stuff.

I love the Ultra Boost!! It’s a little too soft for my long run shoe, but it’s perfect for shorter runs.

So true about there being so many shoes and only two feet, Jen; I want to try them ALL! I’m so glad y’all had such a fun event at the store. And yes, House of Cards is a MUST at our house! I mean, seriously, the weather was so bad for the marathon that I would have just stayed home and finished watching the season – hahaha!

Hi Jen – I made it to February! Have you ever gotten a Keratin treatment? I have gotten the super straight one which was too straight. I’ve also gotten the milder version which is good but lasts about a week! Did you like these hair products in your Sephora box? I’m always looking for the next best mane tamer 🙂

I did one keratin treatment a few years ago. Oh was fun having smooth sleek hair for a few months, but it took forever at the salon. My favorite of those sephora products is the living proof hairspray. It smells amazing and gives hold while still keeping my hair soft.

Thanks, Jen. In reading your posts, it sounds like you enjoy sitting as much as I do 🙂 Sitting at the salon is agony! Agreed Keratin takes waay too long. I prefer to use products. I’ll check out the living proof hairspray – I love good smelling hair goodies.
