Saturday:
It was my last long run before Boston and my last run pacing my CMM group! This Spring has been my favorite training season ever and this group has been a large part of that!
Obviously, it’s my happy place, and obviously I’m a big dork! 🙂
Taper is in full swing! No RAGRETS…not one…not even one letter!
@fittasticmom shared the Boston Marathon forecast…perfection!! What are the odds that this actually happens?!
My super amazing friend Jenn surprised me with the greatest Rosewater Pistachio Donut AND it’s vegan (but you would never know)! Nashville friends, you must go to Vegan Vee (after you finish reading my blog of course)!
Dinner…it’s all about balance, yes?!
All that was missing from that picture was…
Sunday:
An empty gym is such a luxury.
I had a lovely early morning recovery run…
Followed by a big tub of fruit.
‘S’ is for Sunday, and…
And beacause I’m wild and crazy, I spent the night with a face mask (I would have smiled, but the mask prohibited any facial movement) and good book.
Seeing all of the Paris Marathon pictures this week inspired me to start this little gem of a book. Almost French by Sarah Turnbull
Best thing you ate over the weekend? That chocolate cupcake was good, but the donut was out of this world!
Did you race or run long? Share!
What’s the best donut you’ve ever had? I am obviously tapering with way too much time to think about food!
#choosejoy
Love me a good face mask with some candles and bath salts……ahhh
Best thing I ate: tried coconut almond butter (holy yum)
Ran 4 miler yesterday and wasn’t sure I’d beat my time (under the weather) but ended up beating it by 20sec with 29:40…
Even better though was my 3yr old ran the kids race before 🙂

Best thing I ate was a perfect, fluffy omelet that I made the mistake of sharing with my little man – he ate most of it!
I had a great run during naptime, but had to cut it short (did 5.5 miles) so my husband could get to work! Got back out there in the evening with the jogging stroller for 2 more miles. It was such a gorgeous evening, I couldn’t resist!
Yay for that perfect Boston weather – that’s awesome 🙂

I had a race! Ran with my fiance for his first 5K, then ran a 10K afterwards. It was really fun and I felt terrific the entire time! Training is right on target 🙂
I also love that Boscia face mask! Peeling it off is the best. Enjoy your taper! One more week!! crossing my fingers for 50 degree weather!

That donut almost sounds worth making a trip for! Following runners that are going to be running Boston this year has me so excited that it’s almost as good as if I was running it myself….running it vicariously through all of you:) http://www.momontherunsanity.com

Is this that Boscia charcoal mask? You see I’ve jumped right to the important stuff, right? HA! Okay, so my seaweed salad from Friday night’s anniversary dinner was definitely my fave thing this weekend; I had a 10-miler on Saturday and the weather was gorgeous; I can’t remember the last time I ate a donut. I love that you’re reading this book; I’m going to have to check this one out! Hope you have a great day and I’m so excited for you!!

Top Pot donuts in Portland, OR had the best donuts I’ve ever had. I think about them regularly! It wasn’t even a specific donut, everything we had was amazing! Is that a Boscia face mask? Because I have looked exactly like that several times and that’s the kind I use! Have a great week Jen! Looking forward to all your Boston coverage!! 🙂

Your weekend sounded so enjoyable!!! So excited to hear about Boston!! I’ll be there cheering! That donut sounds amazing! A cider donut placed opened up a few months ago and pretty much every donut is amazing! We sell them at our coffee house, so it’s the danger zone! No long run for me! The cake at my shower was the best thing I ate, homemade funfetti!

Umm, can I put that face mask on my whole body?! Looks divine…Amazon Prime is a blessing and a curse because now it’s in my cart 😉
I made funfetti cupcakes with my daughter this weekend. The frosting was delish!
10 miles all over beautiful DC.
I can’t wait to hear all about your Boston experience! I haven’t run it since 2006 and the whole weekend was beyond incredible.
